Lian Pack |Trimming Process for Mold Pulp Wine Packaging

The production of molded pulp involves a water suspension of fibers being deposited onto a screened mold. After mixing, the pulp part is formed to shape by custom designed tools. The tools consist of a metal net supported by a perforated mold. The machine is lowered into the slurry and the water is pulled through the metal mesh by applying a vacuum, the suction helps to bind the fibers. After forming, trimming is the key process to make the edge part smooth, this video shows about how we cut the the forming packaging.

This is a key process in the production of paper tableware. About 95% of the water in the pulp is removed during forming. Therefore, this process plays a decisive role in product quality, energy consumption, production efficiency and damage rate. The quality of molding depends on the molding machine, molding method, mold structure and quality, raw pulp quality and other factors.
