Types of Pulp Molding Tooling
Forming Molds: Submerged into a watery pulp slurry; a vacuum pulls fibers against a fine metal mesh screen to form the wet shape.
Transfer Molds: Lift the wet, newly formed shape off the forming mold and move it along the production line.
Hot Press Molds: Apply heat and pressure to dry, smooth, and strengthen the product while giving it sharp edges and accurate dimensions.
